
Transportation in Nevis
Getting to Nevis is relatively straight-forward. You can travel by air to Nevis from basically anywhere in the world, whether it be North America, Europe or the Asia-Pacific region. The main gateways or stopovers to Nevis include St Maarten, Puerto Rico, Antigua or St. Kitts. From these islands, there are daily charters which will take you on to Nevis, "The Queen of The Caribees."

The neighbouring island of St Kitts is easily visited by utilizing the daily ferry service. It takes approximately 35 - 45 minutes between the two islands, and ferries run quite frequently. There are also several car rental agencies available on the island of Nevis. It is recommended that you reserve your car before arriving on island. Car rental companies represented on Nevis are listed below. Driving is on the left hand side of the road, and it is necessary to purchase a local driving license, which costs approximately USD 25. The price for renting vehicles starts from USD 40 per day, plus insurance, which is optional (but recommended).
