Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Golden Rock is committed to preserving their 96 acres for the coming generations. The hiking and walking trails here at Golden Rock will keep the vervet monkey's habitat preserved. The terraced tropical gardens showcase indigenous plants and herbal medicine. Another means by which we try to maintain the island's history is to develop a 30 minute Nature Walk with over 30 different plants that were actually planted back in 1815 when sugar was grown. The island's environment and ecology are important to us. Our dedicated staff will help create a unique Nevisian experience for you.
The bamboo and mahogany four post beds were locally made, as were our grass rugs and colourful pineapple lamps. We constantly support the local craftsmen and their lovely products.
